1976 Mercedes 300D “Trundle”

Owned 2007-present.

One diesel in the family wasn’t enough, and I stumbled across yet another car in a field–ironically, the same field that yielded the Wayward Fiat.  Trundle was a different story, however.  With a new battery, the grumbly old Mercedes ran.  The W114 chassis is another one of those tough ones, those cars that’ll run forever with a bit of love.  I just can’t seem to resist cars like that.  Especially when they’re in fields or junkyards.

Trundle spent a year as a daily driver, and is currently in storage.

Any luck with the , eh, windshield leaks?

Yes! Some liquid repair goop seems to have stopped them! :)
